Initial Comment:
Frequency breakdown only works with word, primary annotation, or word-plus-primary annotation.

In a perfect world, there would be an option to "re-run frequency breakdown on ...", where "..." is a relatively flexible specification of what you want to count (entire match, single token, different attributes, etc.). (-- SE)

However, there are serious underlying issues here - freq b.d. is based on the "sort" db and it would have to be re-engineered ot be flexible in this way without taking up too much disk space.
