Thanks for the patch!  So you've been able to figure out the syntax  
for alignment files and how sentence IDs have to be encoded?  Good to  
hear -- I've had absolutely no time to spare so I couldn't get started  
with the documentation.

No, cwb-align-import takes care of everything (where it says " ...  
encoding ... " above).  It also edits the registry entry if necessary.
