[CWB] CWB fails to install on Ubuntu 16.04

Dear colleagues,

Sorry for posting a question that probably has been discussed in the past.
I am trying to install a recent version of CWB (3.1) in an Ubuntu
16.04 machine.
As indicated in the Installation Guide I am using the installation
script specific
for Ubuntu but it fails indicating a missing  header file:

As a matter of fact, the missing header file (editline.h) is present in the
distribution directory but for some reason it is not found by the
installation script. In the past I use the same distribution on Ubuntu
14.04 machines without any problem.

Any suggestion to solve this issue is very welcomed.
