Not a bug but an incomplete feature: I rewrote the Distribution function last week, and it’s not finished yet. Doing Distribution on a Restricted query is one of the not-yet-finished bits.
Apologies!
Andrew.

Subject: [CWB] CQPweb Restricted Query: Broken Distribution Function?
Dear CWB community
Since checking out CQPweb to revision number 1007 and 1011 respectively, I cannot perform the following query which works fine in revision 924:
I select Restricted Query, select a decade or year(s) with a CQP syntax query; the KWIC is correctly displayed. But when I continue and select Distribution, the following error message appears:
-->$<--
string(44) "$^--text||text_decade~1320.|text_decade~1950"
[this is above the title element displaying “Based on classification: Structure ‘’text_decade’’]
A MySQL query did not run successfully!
Original query: SELECT count(*), sum(words) FROM text_metadata_for_bbl_1850_2015_de WHERE (``='') /* from User: lehs_admin | Function: initialise_size() | 2017-Oct-04 06:45:16 */
Error # 1054: Unknown column '' in 'where clause'
When ‘downgrading’ to r924 , those queries work again. I have updated the database after I first upgraded to r1007 to version 3.2.27.
Could it be that r1007/r1011 brought an error in my CWB input file to light? (I find it strange, for example, that text_decade~1320 or text_year~1320 is displayed in the string every time even though I do not select it in my restricted query, sometimes in the middle of it, e.g.
string(78) "$^--text|text_decade~1990.text_decade~2000.|text_decade~1320.|text_decade~1980")
Or could this be a bug?
Thank you for your hints and support!
Best
Stéphie
