I suggest you check that CQP is still on the path of the web daemon’s user after your update. The error message suggests that the cqp executable didn’t start at all.
best
Andrew.

Subject: [CWB] Error message
Hello everybody,
I'm running a very old version of cqpweb 3.2.30 which has begun to give me the following error message on any query (or other actions):
ERROR: CQP backend startup failed; the reported CQP version [] could not be parsed.
I suspect the real solution will be to move on to something more recent... But I'm also wondering whether the error might come from an update to Debian which now runs php7.
My question: is there a simple fix, that would enable me to continue working on my corpora, and gain a little time before doing an update (or possibly a fresh install, if that looks a safer option).
Many thanks in advance for any help.
Best,
Graham.
