[Sigwac] SIGWAC Elections

This email is sent from Felix' address because I cannot post to the 
SIGWAC list for unknown reasons from any of my addresses. I'm always 
considered to be a spammer, and I've been trying to send this email for 
over a month now. There might be further delays in the process.

Dear SIGWAC members,

I hope this email finds you all well. I’m writing as the *acting* 
chairperson of SIGWAC because Egon’s and my terms as officers officially 
ended a year ago already. For many reasons, I’m unable to run again, and 
I’m therefore inviting nominations for chairperson and secretary of 
SIGWAC. As is customary, we should use the mailing list for both the 
nomination process and the election. Hence, anyone wanting to suggest 
someone, please just write back to the list, preferably having made sure 
the nominee is onboard. As far as I can remember, self-nominations have 
always been welcome.

I suggest we try to find nominees until 31 August, but this should not 
be seen as a strict deadline.

Please find the constitution of SIGWAC (including a detailed description 
of the duties of its officers) on the ACL SIGWAC website:

If anyone objects to Egon and me organising the election as acting 
officers, please come forward, so we can try to find a returning officer.
