[CWB] installation cqpserver

The cqpserver binary is part of the CWB distribution, so you don't need to install any additional software. Can you start CQP and CQPserver from the command line? (Try "cqpserver -v".)

Which CQi client library did you install? With a current version of the Perl package CWB-CQI, the included example scripts you mention should really work.

One computer is enough. CQi was originally designed to provide a Java API for CWB on a single computer rather than to connect to a remote server.
Can you describe in more detail exactly what you did and what problem / error you get?

Unfortunately, there is no additional information on CQi beside what you can find on the Web site at http://cwb.sourceforge.net/cqi.php
Perhaps some other users who have worked their way through CQi can share some notes?
