Aaaah, I keep forgetting that the C development packages aren't installed by default on Ubuntu! I'll make sure to add libc-dev-i386 to the single-step process, thanks.

Stefan may be able to help re the Perl modules....

best

Andrew.

Subject: [CWB] CWB 4.3.2 installation isues

Hi!

I'm trying to install CWB 4.3.2 (we need UTF8) on a Ubuntu server:
Linux 2.6.32-38-server #83-Ubuntu SMP x86_64 GNU/Linux

I used SVN to download:
cqpweb cwb cwb-doc cwb-encoders cwb-perl

Then I used:
>sudo ./install-scripts/cwb-install-ubuntu
but libc6-dev-i386 package was missing (I installed it manually)
and then it worked.

I wanted to try CQPweb but it needs the cwb-perl API.

Then I had this error messages and warnings but it got installed anyway:

folder: cwb-perl/CWB
>perl Makefile.PL
IMS Open Corpus Workbench v3.4.2 found in /usr/local/cwb-3.4.2 tree.

Should I continue with the installation? How can I fix this?

Thanks!
