Hi Antonio,

Your screenshots didn't make it, can I suggest you send them to me off-list? Can you also specify the cqp version you are running? (a full cqp -v dump also wouldn't hurt).

It might also be useful if you could send me the corpus index and registry file. Also, are the corpora causing the problems in indexes you prepared under Win32 or indexes you moved across from *nix?

There are some "known issues" (ahem) on Windows, but off the top of my head I can't say whether this particular problem is linked to any of them them.

I have been grappling with character set issues in CQP & utilities intermittently for a long while now and there are still a couple of nasty stubborn bugs. So I can't promise a quick fix.

best

Andrew.

Subject: [CWB] Problems with queries through CQP

Hi everybody,

We installed cwb on windows 7 (Home premium) and windows xp professional, but we have had some problems with the queries. The installation was correct, we can do queries on small corpus, but if we use the cqp on an extensive corpus (around 100.000-500.000 words) the cqp application stops. We have attached a file with some screenshots in order to show the problem.

Note: The cqp application always stops (with extensive corpus) either for command line or through an web interface, when we use Windows. However, when we use Ubuntu 10.10, we never have problems with cqp application.

Thanks for your assistance.
