Hi Andrew,
You're the best! I should remember when editing a file with vi, if there is no trailing space at the end of a line, the cursor should fall upon the last character rahter than behind it!

Well the root problem is that the PHP function is_dir() (see http://uk.php.net/is_dir) is returning false for the directory, and I think I can see why. Is there stray whitespace at the end of the registry file line? If so, it needs to be removed.

Andrew.

Hi Andrew,

>>>Not so re “only”. I have successfully indexed hundreds-of-millions-of-words through the web interface.
Good news. So I can rely on the web browser for a majority of my corpora.

>>>I have made a small tweak to the regex that picks out the directory string, can you try it again?
I updated the admin file and went to the Where is the registry file page. I specified In the directory specified here:
/home/ray/Dickens/DICKENS-cqbweb-edition/registry

I checked the existence and content of relevant file/folder:
/home/ray/Dickens/DICKENS-cqbweb-edition$cat
data registry
/home/ray/Dickens/DICKENS-cqbweb-edition/registry$ cat dickens
...
ID dickens
# data file directory (relative or absolute path)
HOME /home/ray/Dickens/DICKENS-cqbweb-edition/data
# optional info file (displayed by "info" command in CQP)
INFO /home/ray/Dickens/DICKENS-cqbweb-edition/data/.info
...

After pressing Install corpus with settings above, I stumped on an error:
CQPweb encountered an error and could not continue.
The data directory specified in the registry file [/home/ray/Dickens/DICKENS-cqbweb-edition/data ] could not be found.

The result seems a bit strange to me, though.

Best
Ray
