Handles (for corpora, attributes, categor4ies, or ID codes) can contain letters, numbers, underscore. Like variable names in C !

(or, more to the point, like table/column names in MySQL, whence the restriction)

best

Andrew.

Subject: [CWB] Allowed symbols in "id" metadata field

Hey!

My metadata looks like this:
<text id="alish.1" source="Абдулла Алиш. Куршеләр" date="" lang="Tatar" genre="">
cqp processes it just fine. But I get this error during including this to cqpweb:
Bad metadata value on input file line 1 in column 0: n``alish.1'' .
I found that it is because of ".". I also found that I cannot use the "-" symbol. What symbols are allowed to use in "id" field? Thank you!
With best wishes,
Mansur
